Wednesday, October 18th, Charlie, the kids, Ashley, and I went to the mountains for the day. We drove straight to Boone and to the Mystery Hill House first. The kids have been wanting to go there again, but couldn't get there before they closed the past few years. So we went there first so they'd get to go.

After leaving Mystery Hill, we drove down the Parkway to Rough Ridge. A trail a friend has recommended a few times. We stopped at Price Lake for a few minutes on the way there.

Then on to Rough Ridge.

By then it was getting late, so we had to head home. I wish we could've seen more. Kelly and I missed our usual drive down the Parkway from Fancy Gap, Virginia, to Boone. We've talked about going back. Maybe if there's a nice warmish, sunny day in the next couple weeks.

Kelly and I have been to Hagan-Stone a couple times since my last entry. I'm going to blog about that and other things in another post. There are several pictures I want to share here and I don't want to fill one blog entry with too many pictures.
