Books and Movies of 2021

My ranking of the books I read last year.

1. A Sky Beyond the Storm (An Ember in the Ashes #4), by Sabaa Tahir
2. London (Surviving the Evacuation #1), by Frank Tayell
3. Unsafe Haven (Surviving the Evacuation #4), by Frank Tayell
4. Kingdom of Shadow and Light (Fever #11), by Karen Marie Moning
5. Before We Were Yours, by Lisa Wingate
6. Wasteland (Surviving the Evacuation #2), by Frank Tayell
7. Family (Surviving the Evacuation #3), by Frank Tayell
8. Nefertiti, by Michelle Moran
9. Days of Danger (EMP Survival #3), by Jack Hunt
10. Days of Terror (EMP Survival #4), by Jack Hunt
11. Trail of Lightning, by Rebecca Roanhorse

I gave the first five books 4 stars at GoodReads. The rest I gave 3 stars. I had started two other books last year and had hoped to finish one of them (Go Tell the Bees That I am Gone by Diana Gabaldon), but I wasn't able to. I'm really enjoying Bees, but out of nearly 900 pages, I'm less than 200 pages in. The other book I started (in August) is called When Christ and His Saints Slept by Sharon Kay Penman and I barely made a dent in it. :-/

I watched 11 movies for the first time last year. Here is my ranking of them.

1. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
2. Black Widow
3. The Best of Enemies
4. Avengers: Endgame
5. Avengers: Infinity War
6. Captain Marvel
7. Wind River
8. The Tomorrow War
9. Red Notice
10. The Electrical Life of Louis Wain
11. Effie Gray

The Tomorrow War and Red Notice were okay, but a little cheesy. The Electrical Life of Louis Wain was kind of weird. It could have been a very good biopic. Effie Gray was a little too quiet and boring.

I watched a lot of Marvel stuff last year. In addition to the Marvel movies mentioned in my list above, I watched the Disney+ TV series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye. (I tried watching WandaVision, but after three episodes I decided I hated it. lol) Hawkeye was my favorite of the series, but all three were good.
