Charlie got a new truck a few weeks ago. It's a 2013 GMC Sierra. I hate having a car payment again (we paid off the CRV several years ago), but he believes his company isn't going to want to let him use a work truck for much longer. :-/

I've kind of gone back to clothes shopping, after going about 7 months of doing no clothes shopping, and that has made it necessary to clean out my closet and get rid of some things. It was getting to where I couldn't hardly squeeze in any new clothes. Especially on the side where I have my dresses. So, I got rid of a bunch of stuff about a month ago. It was kind of painful. lol My closet is still pretty full though. I'm thinking of getting rid of a few more things, but it's really hard. lol

Clothes I've bought since my last entry:
Black denim skirt from Kohl's, bought about a month ago. Originally $60, I paid about $30. I've wanted a black denim skirt for over 10 years. Skirt falls a couple inches below my knees.
Game of Thrones shirt from Hot Topic. I'll only wear it around the house.
Calvin Klein dress from Macy's. I saw it online before I saw it in stores and wanted it so badly. Finally saw it at Macy's after a couple weeks of seeing it online. Originally $134, I paid about $94. Dress falls a few inches below my knees.
Melissa Paige top from Stein Mart, bought about a month ago. I think it was about $25. Green is my favorite color.
Got this at Target to wear around the house. About $25.
Game of Thrones shirt from Hot Topic. I'll only wear it around the house.
I got one other Game of Thrones shirt from Hot Topic, but I can't find a picture of it. It's four of the house sigils - Targaryen, Stark, Lannister, and Greyjoy. I also got a Funko Pop of Tyrion on the Iron Throne, Funko Pop keychain of Ghost, and Funko Pop keychain of Viserion.

Sean has been trying to get a job for a couple months now. (Though perhaps not looking as hard as he should be until recently.) There are two that he might have a pretty good shot at getting. I think he has to go to one of them (a well-known company) in person the first week of June. Some kind of interview/tour kind of thing? The pay is pretty good for a single guy. If that one doesn't work out, a couple guys at church said that they could possibly help him get a job where they work. (Another well-known company.) I've been praying he gets a job soon.

We have a bird feeder and a hummingbird feeder in our yard. The bird feeder attracts squirrels as well and a few mallards come around to eat what ends up on the ground. As far as birds that aren't ducks, we get cardinals, bluejays, chickadees, woodpeckers, finches, blackbirds, etc.
The two males both want to mate with the female and seem to be driving her crazy.

Since my last entry, I started and finished The Living by Isaac Marion (fourth book in the Warm Bodies series). It's not as good as the first one. The author self-published and that may be why. There was too much going on. Some things should've been cut out, in my opinion. For me, it was enough to have the zombie situation and a group trying to create some kind of order again, but the whole fire church, and mystical, otherworldly library (the "We" chapters), and the Axiom group controlling zombies to use them in their organization was just too much. The book needed better focus, in my opinion. I gave it three stars at GoodReads.
I finished reading Elizabeth Keckley's book a couple days ago. (Behind the Scenes: ....) I liked it. She had interesting opinions about slavery and the south. Things I wouldn't expect a former slave to say. She loved the Lincolns and continued to help Mrs. Lincoln after the President died. One thing that surprised me was that President Lincoln loved the song Dixie. Nowadays, people think the song is racist and want to change the name of the Dixie Classic Fair (in Winston-Salem) to something else. But for Lincoln and others of that time, I guess it was about the beauty of the land and had nothing to do with slavery. I don't know. Like I said, it surprised me.
I'm still reading The Song of the Lark by Willa Cather. I have a little over 100 pages to go, I think. I'm tempted to stop reading it again and read something else before finishing it, but I really just want to get it done before I move on.
