Late January, I was really sick with what I thought was the flu. I went to the doctor on about the third day. (January 29th.) I tested negative for the flu, but the doctor said since I had all the symptoms (fever, chills, body aches, cough, sore throat, headache) that she would go ahead and prescribe Theraflu.
I felt better a few days after that, but it took awhile for me to be able to taste food. I was afraid I'd never be able to enjoy food again. It was kind of depressing. But my taste buds, or whatever was messed up, started working again on February 6th. I had made fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, black eyed peas, and corn (which I don't eat) for supper that night. I was so happy. lol

February 6th, I had an appointment at the Honda dealership for an air bag recall. Actually, it was to fix a repair that was done on the air bag on a recall from a few years ago. (A recall on the recall.) Kelly and I were at the dealership for a little over an hour. Quite boring, even with getting on Facebook on my phone.

My 47th birthday was February 7th, Kelly's 20th birthday was February 8th, and Charlie's 51st birthday was February 21st. I got a speaker for my iPod. It connects through bluetooth and it lights up with different colors. Charlie made me a chocolate cake (no frosting). We went to my favorite restaurant the day after (so it was on Kelly's birthday, but Charlie took her to Noodles and Co. earlier that day for lunch) - Cugino Forno. THE best pizza!
I don't remember what Kelly got for her birthday. She picked out some things while we were out shopping. Her cake was an Oreo ice cream cake. And I misspelled "birthday" on her cake with the little candy letters. I didn't notice until later when I was looking at pictures. I spelled it "birtday". Kelly and I cracked up over that.
I made Charlie a yellow cake with chocolate frosting for his birthday.
February has been an extremely tight month for us financially, so our birthdays were small with very few gifts.

Since my last entry, I finished reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. Great book! I then read Days of Chaos (book 2 in a series) by Jack Hunt. I liked it. I'm currently reading Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin. I haven't gotten far yet. I think I'm on page 60 something.

I've purchased 5 songs for my iPod since the last time I posted about buying songs.

Last night, I was listening to my iPod with my new speaker while cooking supper and my iPod died. :-( I hope Apple can fix it or that I can get a new one without having to spend a ridiculous amount of money. And if I have to get a new iPod, I hope I don't have any trouble putting my songs on it. *sigh*

After Charlie went to bed last night, I asked him if he'd given Milo his pill. I thought he said "no", so I gave Milo his pill. I then told Charlie and he said that he had told me "yeah". I had given him his pill about 10 minutes after Charlie did. I immediately called the emergency vet and they told me that it wasn't a severe overdose and that he'll probably have some vomiting and diarrhea. And that if it goes on for too long, to bring him to our regular vet.
When I said something like, "So he won't have a seizure or his heart won't stop or anything?", they said that it wasn't a big enough overdose for something like that to happen. Then I started crying real hard. After hanging up, I got myself under control and called them back since I was now able to speak again. lol I asked if we should wait to give him his next dose or give it to him at the normal time. They said that it should be fine to give him his next dose, which will be around 11:00 tonight.
I was terrified that I had killed our dog. I'm glad that it appears as if he'll be okay. But now I'm afraid to go to sleep (it's a little after 3 AM), though I'm pretty tired.
